On Saturday, April 25, both the guys’ and girls’ soccer teams played in the YPI tournament at Mendez High School in Los Angeles.  The guys won 6-1 off four goals from Jose Mendez, one from Saul Sanchez, and one from Randall Gomez.  The girls lost a tough match 2-1, with Leslie Pineda scoring their goal.

 

On Saturday, May 2, both teams played again and came away with the victory against Smidt Tech.  On a hot day, the guys edged out a 3-2 win with goals from Diego Campos, Randall Gomez, and Saul Sanchez.  The girls won 3-0; two goals were scored by Leslie Pineda, and one was scored by Andrea Galvan.  Tania Hernandez kept a clean sheet in goal.
