On May 29th, a group of our 11th grade students were treated to an in-depth tour of the center and had the chance to meet with several members of their dedicated staff.

While our students have been learning at school about the myriad professionals who serve patients every day, this visit provided an incredible opportunity for them to see these professionals in their work environment, and learn more about their work and career and educational paths first-hand.  Among the professionals who took time out to talk with our students were a dietician/nutritionist, emergency room coordinator, fundraiser, occupational therapist, pharmacist, physical therapist, pulmonary nurse, registered nurse, and respiratory therapist, to name just few.

The tour also introduced students to aspects of a hospital that many had never considered, including behavioral health, sub-acute care, and addiction medicine.
