About 80 students attended the dance, which also acted as a fundraiser for the ASB.  Proceeds will help to fund future events and fieldtrips for ASB and senate students.

The event was generously sponsored by Jarritos.  They provided the DJ and free give-aways for the students and helped make the evening even more special.  "I am very grateful and appreciate all that Jarritos has done for our school," said ASB Advisor Francis Sanchez.  In October, Jarritos also sponsored a lunchtime party for all HSA students (see photos here).

The students who were involved with the planning, decorating, and clean-up included Brianna (ASB Vice President), Cedric (ASB Secretary), and Shaquille (ASB Treasurer).  "The students were very into the multi-cultural music. I think we made a good profit from the dance and I look forward to planning more events," said Brianna of the event.  Shaquille also shared, "The dance was great. I didn't expect that many people. It looked like everyone had a great time."

"I want to thank all the students and staff who came out and supported our first HSA dance. It was a great event and I am looking forward to many more," shared Mrs. Sanchez. Our thanks to her for spearheading the festivities!
