Assignment

In Preparation for Unit 1 Exam on Friday:

If you want to take a practice quiz before the Unit 1 Exam, I left the quiz open for you to take.

1) Go to socrative.com
2) Enter "CRISTINA1524" as the classroom

Btw, I had to restart it because the version we were taking in class was the "teacher-led' version, which means you wouldn't be able to go ahead on your own. There are 5 questions from every chapter we studied, in the order that we studied them (Ch. 19,18, 1, and 20). These were the most missed questions, so reviewing them will help you!

ALSO: Quiz Corrections!
Taking the time to go over what you missed for your Chapter 1 and 20 quizzes will help you review! Attached are the quizzes. The answers are at the end of each one.

Good luck! :)

What Would You Do?

3. Use the back side to the same piece of paper where you wrote your summaries of the readings.

Imagine you are the mayor of Los AngelesCalifornia, would you order a cull of cats? Why or why not? (If you would order a cull, how would you go about it?) Provide evidence to back up your claim. Connect your evidence to your stance using reasoning. Explain what world view your choice would be supporting.

World Views:

Anthropocentric: human-centered; humans well-being supersedes the well-being of other species
Biocentric: all life is equally valuable (all life is sacred), and the well being of all species must be protected
Ecocentric: the well-being of the ecosystem is of utmost importance; the health of all species and the water, soil, air, etc. must be seen together
