Social Studies Teacher
Hello, I am Mr. Emmons. I teach World History at HSA (4th year teaching, 6th year in education ). I love tending my plants. I play pickleball often. I am decent at basketball and have never lost to a student in an athletic competition at school. I am an avid sports fan (Sacramento Kings, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland A's). I am most excited about taking students on a tour of Los Angeles at the end of the year for the Los Angeles History Project.

Custom Continent: Country/State Shapes Practice
Continent Creation:
Using poster paper/white paper, create a your own continent that includes:
- A named continent.
- Five countries, one of each shape.
- Annotation boxes that:
- Name the country and type of shape it is.
- Tell the advantage or disadvantage of that particular state type.
3. At the bottom, explain which country is likely to be the most successful and least successful, based of the shape of their countries. Use evidence from last weeks reading on shipping to support your answer.

5 pts: All five country shapes are created and labeled accurately with advantages or disadvantages.
5 pts: Accurate explanation of which countries are most and least likely to be successful.
