During Medical Science 9, students engaged in presentations and activities on topics such as the effects of drugs on the brain, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, synesthesia, neurosurgery and phantom limbs, to name just a few.
Interaxon regularly uses dynamic approaches such as stations, models, novel games and props to talk about the brain as part of their work to help enhance science education in under-funded schools throughout Los Angeles.
Interaxon is an Undergraduate Neuroscience Educational Outreach Group affiliated with UCLA's Brain Research Institute.
We are thankful for all of the terrific college students who so generously shared their time and expertise with us.
