Our students met their mentors at an after school kick-off event on Monday, November 15th.  "I wish I'd had it this together when I was in high school," said one mentor who attended the event.  "This is a great opportunity for these students and I am proud to be part of it."  25 LMSA members will be working with our kids this year.

"We are really excited about working with the LMSA volunteers! The students and mentors had a lot of fun at the kick-off event and the kids thought the mentors were soooo cool." said Medical Science 9 Teacher and Cal-HOSA Advisor Grace Kim.  "The mentors had lots of energy and connected well with the kids. We can't wait to have them back at HSA to start teaching our kids medical skills like taking vital signs."

Throughout the year, they will also exchange regular emails and engage in project support that will be critical as our students prepare for the state HOSA competition in the Spring.
