A key component of the HSA model is providing students with access to medical and allied health professions and professionals.  To that end, HSA holds a regular health service focused speaker series throughout the school year.  Speakers are sought from a diverse range of medical and allied health professions so as to give students a comprehensive view of the varied fields of study and practice.

The series is helping to open up a new world to our students.  "The speaker series lets me talk to people who work in the medical field. It helps me picture myself doing that job someday," said 9th grader Jasmin.  "I get to learn about all different careers, some I have never heard about before," shared her classmate, Martha.

The series is typically held two Tuesdays a month during our morning Advisory Class (7:45 a.m. to 8:25 a.m.) on the HSA campus.  We are currently seeking speakers for the current semester on the following dates:  September 27th, October 11th, October 25th, November 8th, November 29th and December 13th.
