Members of HSA's Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Team attended the organization's State Leadership Conference held in Sacramento, California from April 7th - 10th. 

Over 2,100 students from all over California joined together to participate in motivational general sessions, delegate meetings, competitive events, leadership workshops and even a trivia bowl, talent show and dance. Students on the HSA HOSA team competed in medical themed events such as medical math, medical photography, a biomedical debate and sports medicine. 

As part of the trip, the students also visited several Northern California schools including UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Stanford University, Sacramento State University and UC Berkeley.  They also took a tour of the State Capitol building and even got to sit in the Lieutenant Governor's chair while speaking with a public policy analyst.
