Suicide Prevention Policy
Alliance Pierra Barbaglia Shaheen Health Services Academy High School believes in the importance of prioritizing mental health and wellness in our schools. We are working to increase awareness of the mental health issues our students face to reduce the number of student suicides.
California Education Code (EC) Section 215, as added by Assembly Bill 2246, (Chapter 642, Statutes of 2016) mandates that School District serving pupils in grades seven to twelve, adopt a policy on pupil suicide prevention, intervention, and post-prevention.
