I'm very excited to be joining the PBS-HSA family this year!! I'm a local kid who grew up in nearby South Gate to Mexican parents who immigrated to this country in search of a better life. After graduating from high school, I went straight to Westwood where I attended UCLA for my undergraduate career. I double majored and graduated with a B.A. in History and Chicana/o Studies. A few years later I attended CSU Long Beach for my teaching credential, and more recently for my administrative credential and Master of Arts in Education in Educational Leadership. One day I will return to school to pursue a doctorate degree.
When I'm not thinking about how to be a more effective educator, I love spending time with my family, cooking, trying out new restaurants, watching the Dodgers, traveling, and playing with my puppy, Scully.
Be sure to stop me when you see me to say hello and to introduce yourself (if you haven't already). Go Wolves!
