As an educator at Health Services Academy, I’ve noticed this school is like no other. It’s a very nurturing environment for both the staff and students, and I’m excited to be apart of the wolf pack. I'm also looking forward to making new connections with my students.
I was born and raised in Compton, CA. I have a passion for dancing and track & field; during my adolescences, I participated in both extra curricular activities. I graduated with a degree in Physical Education from Howard University, while attending Howard University I was a member of the Track and field team. Once I graduated from Howard University, I pursued my teaching credential from UCLA. I later received a Masters of Kinesiology at Fresno Pacific University.
I first began teaching Dance and Physical education in 2008. In 2013, I took a break from teaching to travel to Japan. I traveled to Japan in August of 2013. While in Japan, I choreographed for a professional cheerleading team in Niigata. Despite the language barrier, it was an amazing experience finding various ways to communicate. Upon returning to the United States in 2014, I obtained a job at Health Services Academy.
I was once told “He who dares to teach, must never cease to learn”. I believe continued education will allow me to be the best educator for the students I serve.
