PBS Health Services Academy is a special place, and I am so excited to be a part of the PBS-HSA family as one of the Assistant Principals. I am a California girl who was born and raised in Palos Verdes, CA. I graduated with a degree in Pure Mathematics from UC Santa Cruz while spending a year at UCLA. After graduation and while working in the TV/Radio marketing field, I obtained my single subject credential from CSULB to pursue my passion for educating students and helping them succeed in and beyond high school. After receiving my credential, I began my path as a high school teacher while pursuing my Masters in Research and Curriculum Design from UC San Diego as well as my administrative credential. While pursuing all of these goals, I have gained over ten years of experience working in school districts and charter schools with the majority of my experience as a math teacher and new teacher mentor at both the middle and high school levels. I also have a few years of experience as a K12 curriculum manager for an educational technology company in which we developed instructional materials for the 21st century classroom. Most importantly, I have an intense love for what I do, and a passion for K12 education. Through my experiences and encounters it has become evident that happiness is one of my top priorities in life. I have found personal fulfillment in the vibrant nature of a career in education. As a member of an organization that puts the needs of our students first, my goal is to provide leadership that will facilitate and support a school culture that empowers both staff members, parents, and students while fulfilling the mission and vision of PBS-HSA. As stated by Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Let's do this, Wolves!!
