Welcome parents and students! Let’s get ready for a productive school year. Personal: I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. I am the youngest of three sisters. I am also a first generation Mexican-American. I have two sons Isaac and Kenneth. During my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and discovering new places. I love to travel! Education: I graduated from Millikan High School in Long Beach, CA , I attended Long Beach City Community College, after completing my general education I transferred to Cal State Dominguez Hills were I received my Bachelors degree in History and my teaching credential in Social Science. Teaching: I chose to teach because when I was younger education was a constant struggle for me especially since I was a teen mom. I was fortunate to meet an inspirational educator who taught me to never give up or settle for less from that moment on I knew teaching was for me.I am a firm believer that if you put your mind to it anything is possible. As a teacher I will be able to give back to my community by mentoring and encouraging students to succeed. As students will soon learn, we are all getting on the train that leads to success; nobody gets left behind, next stop graduation!
