Mrs. (DeBoer) Barth, here! Originally from the Seattle, WA area, I obtained my B.A. in International Studies and Global and Urban Development Ministries from Seattle Pacific University. During college, I lived, studied, and taught English throughout Central America and developed a passion for literacy and education. After I graduated, I worked for a year as a writer and found that I missed interacting with students. I pursued credentials in English Language Arts and Bilingual Education and also a Master’s in Education from UCLA. I taught English at PBS-HSA for five years until I moved into an Assistant Principal role after pursuing my administrative credential at CSULB. When I’m not at school, I spend my time visiting coffee shops, playing video games, taking exercise classes, and reading.
