I am Zonz Ouattara. I was born and raised in Ivory Coast and moved to the USA at the age of 15. I am currently an Assistant Principal at HSA, and I am entering my 3rd year at the school. Before working at HSA, I lived in NYC where I worked as a school leader managing and establishing student-centered school culture practices and new-staff orientation for the network. I am entering my 14th year in education in the 21-22 academic year. This makes me officially a teenager as it pertains to my educational experiences (lol). When not at work, you can find me doing a variety of activities, such as hiking, keeping in shape at the gym, relaxing at the beach, and being a social butterfly spending quality time with my family & friends.

I am new to LA! As of July 2nd, it will mark my second anniversary residing in California, LA. I am calling LA home now, and to be honest, I don't miss the cold in NYC which was home for me for 13 years. To be specific, the weather in LA is ideal for my personality traits since I am a huge outdoors person and LA offers multiple options to keep active with the abundance of outdoor activities to engage in.

Two fun facts about me are that I modeled at a younger age and participated in New York Fashion Week twice in my teen years! I am also a parent to two furry Frenchies (named Sunshine & Logan) who are the most loving creatures I know. My pronouns are He/Him. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Education (EDD) and within the next 3 years would be completing my degree. Be on the lookout for the suffix of Dr. Ouattara (EDD) soon (jokingly).

I am excited for this upcoming year because I believe our HSA community has had so much growth within the pandemic restructuring our policies, practices, and built a value-based language that will reflect who we are at HSA to create a much more welcoming environment for all our HSA families and students.
