On Saturday, June 11th, dedicated 10th graders hosted an event on campus aimed at sharing what they had learned about the risks and dangers of diabetes mellitus, more commonly known simply as diabetes. While the condition affects millions of Americans across the country, its prevalence is extremely high in African American and Latino communities, making it a critical topic for our South Los Angeles families.
Thank you to all of the students who devoted their Saturday to this terrific event, and a special thank you to our A&P Teacher Mr. Fitch for inspiring the project.
