They accomplish this by training college students to teach a comprehensive health curriculum in public high schools.  This year, trained health educators from four colleges are teaching 12 health workshops to students on topics including relationships, sexual health, substance abuse, and nutrition. 

During the Peer Health Exchange workshops, students learn basic health information, talk about their values and goals, learn about local health clinics, and practice communication and decision-making skills.  These skills will help HSA students to be better able to make decisions that will help them stay in school, get and keep jobs, and become healthy adults. 

We are so grateful to be working with Peer Health Exchange this year.
