Biography
PBS-HSA Family,
Hellooooo! I am overjoyed to continue my tenure at Health Services in the role of principal. Born and raised in Chicago, I obtained an undergraduate degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. It was here that I decided to undertake a career in teaching. I moved to California, a move that included my first visit to Los Angeles, and fell in love with the city and the children. After obtaining my teaching credential and masters from Loyola Marymount University, I continued my personal path of higher education by obtaining an administrative credential and doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice. I pursued all of these goals while tirelessly working to serve the children and families of the South Los Angeles community as a classroom teacher, a dean, and later an Assistant Principal. My experiences at both the middle and high school level, along with my personal educational journey inspire me to provide a quality education for all.
PBS-HSA, which graduated its sixth senior class in 2018, continues to build upon the strong foundation that was laid in 2009. The staff of PBS-Health Services is committed to providing a quality education for all students and producing graduates that will impact South Los Angeles, the medical field, and the world. Together with the PBS-HSA parents and community partners we will make this vision a reality. Remember teamwork makes the dream work. Go Wolves!!!!
